Black Slate

Black Slate is a fine-grained foliated metamorphic stone characterised by its deep charcoal-black colour and distinctive natural cleft surface. Quarried from the Markapur region of Andhra Pradesh, this slate has been used for roofing, flooring, and cladding for centuries.

Its natural cleft provides a beautifully textured, slip-resistant surface that is ideal for wet areas, outdoor flooring, and contemporary wall cladding. When calibrated, it delivers a consistent thickness suitable for precision floor installations.
